We are an independent non-profit organization registered under the Lebanese Ministry of Interior with legal notice number 832. Our mission is to spread God’s love within our communities and to offer a helping hand to those in need. Our work began unintentionally, but it has since grown into a dedicated service involving more than 30 volunteers whose priority is to serve God by assisting our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
Our story began in September 2015 when Elie Raheb-Khallo, our founder and current Executive Director, learned of a family in the Nabaa area struggling to afford essential medications. Moved by their situation, Elie visited them monthly, providing not only medications but also forming relationships with families around in need.
As more families reached out for help, Elie partnered with his close friend, Dr. Jad Mrad, to expand their efforts. Together, they conducted home examinations, arranged transportation for medical tests, and distributed medications. By mid-2016, the demand exceeded their resources, prompting them to seek support from family and friends abroad. Through these efforts, more families received the assistance they needed.
Over time, our focus shifted beyond physical aid to addressing spiritual needs of those we served. Families began sharing their challenges and burdens, inspiring us to pray with them and encourage a personal relationship with Jesus.
In November 2016, our current logo, inspired by John 10:10, “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly” was adopted, reflecting our mission to spread the abundant life Jesus offers. In 2019, we expanded our outreach by establishing a kitchen in Cornet el Hamra, providing daily meals to those in need. Same year, this initiative grew into our Pantry program, offering monthly food subsidies amid rising poverty.
In 2020, while visiting families, we discovered children unable to attend school due to financial constraints, leading us to launch an Education Program.
Today, Spread Life impacts communities across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Keserwan, Zahle Districts, and beyond. With a team of over 30 dedicated servants, we serve more than 800 families, striving to meet the diverse needs of the less fortunate families. It's through the commitment and compassion of our team and supporters that we continue to plant God’s word and make a meaningful difference in countless lives.
At Spread Life, our mission is centered on serving the most vulnerable children, teenagers, and families from all walks of life, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, or religion, while following the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe that we are responsible to develop our community.
We believe that transparency and ethics are the basis of our service.
Believing God motivates us to share His message via dedication and service.
We believe that together we can build resilience and be responsive.
