The Medical Program

The medical program provides monthly medicine for chronic diseases such as blood pressure, heart, diabetes, etc. for individuals that cannot afford covering their medicine expense. Spread Life Account Officer or Field Officer performs a field visit for an interview at the potential beneficiary place of residence. Needed information are gathered and presented to the Board of Spread Life to ensure that the applicant is in line with the Criteria designed to enroll in the medical program. Following the approval of the Board, a new medical prescription is attained from the beneficiary and communicated to the General Physician of Spread Life to approve only chronic disease medicines. The beneficiary will then receive his/her medicine on a monthly basis. Yearly revision over all beneficiaries is performed by the Account Officer to renew the enrollment of each beneficiary in the program and reflect any update over his/her application. As of May 2020, more than 70 individuals are enrolled in the medical program.
