Spread Life Displaced Relief Fund Project - Part I

November 2024

At the start of the war in Lebanon, Spread Life initially decided not to engage in relief efforts, as we believed our focus was on serving the households we were already committed to. However, as Christian villages were displaced and moved into our area, we witnessed their struggles firsthand—families without essential items like mattresses, medicine, and food. After prayerful consideration, God led us to partner with like-minded Christian NGOs (ShiBfeed, IRAP, and The Good Samaritan Organizations) and the Archdiocese of the Maronite Church in Antelias, to serve these families together.

Many displaced Christian families are now staying with relatives in our area. Imagine a household of over 10 people, having left behind everything they own. In response, Spread Life is providing a USD 35 subsidy box containing essential food and hygiene items. For those unable to afford their medications, we are also covering their medical needs.

Spread Life is coordinating with the Maronite Archdiocese of Antelias to identify households hosting displaced families, aiming to provide them with necessary medications and pantry boxes. Additionally, Spread Life is supplying medications to families seeking refuge at the IRAP Center in Ain Aar. Furthermore, Spread Life is collaborating with ShiBfeed and the Good Samaritan Organization to distribute pantry boxes to displaced families residing in the Metn area.

Finally, we don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we trust in the Lord’s guidance. We ask for your continued prayers as we serve the people of Lebanon and spread the good news of the Bible.
